Pitch The World
We gave BC and Canadian AI companies the opportunity to “pitch the world”.
On December 10th at 10:30 PT we hosted a unique one-time pitch session that brought together global VC’s and other investors with the most promising local startups that are raising financing.
8 Companies had 4-5 minutes to make their pitch. Investors then asked questions through the video conferencing portal. We facilitated introductions and post-event meetings that could lead to investments.
MEET OUR WINNER: VERDI
After careful deliberation among our judges, we’re excited to announce that they have selected Verdi as the company with the best pitch!
Verdi won because of the high quality and compelling story told in their pitch, the traction they’re already generating, and the scale of the market opportunity they outlined in such a major sector of agriculture and food.
Verdi will be awarded up to $100,000 in AWS credits as well as 90% off Hubspot professional or enterprise software in year one, 50% off in year two and 25% off forever after that – a value of up to $60,000.
Verdi makes next generation, hyper-precise irrigation which makes plant level actions scalable over thousands of acres by removing management overhead. They’re taking crop efficiency to the next level by targeting the water and fertilizer delivery for farms.
