CityAge Houston: Decarbonizing America’s Energy Capital
June 27, 2023
PRESENTED BY
Accelerating Houston's Energy Transition
Houston is already a global leader in energy innovation and resilience. The city’s next massive opportunity is to lead the world on urban decarbonization.
New solutions are rapidly emerging in the electrification of transportation, microgrids and the renewable power space, as well as green urban design and how to scale the production of power for on- and off-grid use.
Each of these can — and must — be leveraged to increase Houston’s resilience, at the same time as they power the growth of a fair and equitable energy transition.
On June 27, CityAge and Shell Energy will assemble the business and civic leaders who can scale these emerging technologies in Houston, across the United States and globally.
CityAge Houston’s themes will include:
- Energy resilience: Why it’s needed in major public and private facilities.
- Innovative clean energy solutions: What are the options to reach net-zero?
- Funding the transition: What are the grant and financing mechanisms?
- Powering the just transition: How do you enhance equitable access to clean energy?
